From WUSTL NeuromuscularEpidemiology Female: Male = 3:1 Onset: Warmer months Lighter skin types History of Sun burn Clinical Onset ages: Range 12 to 84 years; Mean 59 years Itch Dorsolateral arms C5-C6 dermatomes Upper arms, Shoulders, Neck Bilateral (75%) May improve with cold (Ice pack) Skin: Excoriations 2° itch Course: Chronic Treatment: Symptomatic; Not antihistamies Possible causes C5-C8 lesions: Degenerative joint disease Sensory neuropathy Ultraviolet radiation Neuromuscular Home
